The Nanoscale Imaging of 2D Materials group has extensive experience in the study andmanipulation at the atomic scale of 2D materials based on a surface science approach.

This involves working with well-defined surfaces under ultra-high vacuum (UHV)conditions and employing techniques such as low temperature scanning tunnelingmicroscopy and spectroscopy (LT-STM/STS).

Additionally, we have forged strongcollaborations with the recently formed Spin-ARPES laboratory group and with some ofthe 'state-of-the-art' synchrotron beamlines for the investigation of electronic andmagnetic properties.

Furthermore, we actively collaborate with internationaltheoretical and experimental groups.
