Job Summary


You will handle the following portfolios including reagents and instruments: Molecular Biology, Cellular Culture, Cellular Analysis (Microscopy, Cytometry ) and Protein Biology for the Invitrogen and Applied Biosystem brands.


This is a
Fixed Term position is for a Parental Leave Cover (minimum for 5 months) and will be based in our Alcobendas (Madrid) office with a dynamic and fast paced team.


Accountabilities

  • Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers and successfully lead the sales of company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan.
  • Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relation's management software (Sales Force CRM) and coordinate sales processes for assigned accounts within your sales territory
  • Handle and close sales leads generated by colleagues in Marketing and Technical Support teams
  • Regularly provide written and verbal communication of successes, failures, good practices, to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region and sales organization
  • Connect with research scientists at all accounts to discover their needs, share product information and create sales presentations.
  • Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns and special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with Company philosophy, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate quotations within Company Guidelines by extending competitive pricing as needed to maintain and increase revenues with guidance from Management and/or Marketing
  • Provide sales forecast for assigned territory to support business understanding

Knowledge and skills

  • Minimum BSc within Life Sciences required, preferred Master or PhD
  • Sales mentality; strongly motivated by targets
  • Strong communicator; able to engage and influence at all levels
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and desire to succeed
  • Ability to manage time effectively to prioritize and complete tasks required
  • Able to adapt to a constantly evolving business environment
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar required
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively in a highperformance team
  • Initial business experience in sales or any other customerfacing role in Life Science industry or other could be an advantage.

Location
You will have an office place onsite at Alcobendas (Madrid).
