    DNV Energy Systems offers top-tier verification, certification, and technical advisory services to the energy industry. As a Senior Surveyor in our Madrid office, you'll be the first employee in Spain supporting the VMC service area - Verification and Certification of Materials and Components. Your role will include verification and certification of assets, working on technical advisory projects, ensuring technology qualification, and managing asset integrity. You'll impact not only Spain but also Northern Africa and Portugal.

    Our main product lines include pressure equipment (piping, pressure vessels), structural components, offshore containers, and lifting appliances. This position may involve project work within oil and gas fields, the offshore renewable, hydrogen, or chemical industry fields.

    Your tasks will include:

    Survey Activities :

  • Lead technical assurance and final verification/certification for various products during manufacturing or on-site erection.
  • Conduct surveys during production and testing, including quality system assessment, material handling, welding procedures, and NDT monitoring.
  • Manage a portfolio of DNV type-approved products and systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise internal and external surveyors.
  • Register and manage orders within DNV's production systems, issuing final project deliverables.
  • Project Management Activities :

  • Manage a customer group and collaborate with DNV colleagues worldwide.
  • Oversee full-cycle verification and certification projects.
  • Mobilize project teams.
  • Coordinate tasks among team members and customer representatives.
  • Ensure project milestones are met and deliverables issued as planned.
  • Optimize DNV project management tools and provide high-quality reporting.
  • Assist with bidding, contract preparation, and resource planning.
  • Provide continuous technical support to customers.

  • Advanced Engineering Degree: Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in engineering.
  • Project Engineering and Project Management expertise.
  • Experience in complex large investment projects within the Renewable Offshore or Oil & Gas industry. Ideally in upstream offshore or midstream sectors.
  • Local travel flexibility during working hours.
  • Excellent Project Management knowledge.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
