    Descripción

At AVL Iberica, we are seeking talented professionals to join our team as Calibration Engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects focused on gasoline hybrid platforms.

    About the Role

This role involves working with powertrain components, including engine base calibration, emission, diagnostics, and driveability. As a Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and performing a wide range of tests on engine bench and vehicle.

The ideal candidate will have experience with tools such as ETAS INCA, AVL Concerto, Vector Canalyzer, AVL Creta, DDT2000, Matlab Simulink, or similar. Proficiency in English and Spanish is required, with French language skills being a plus.

We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of internal combustion engines and power electronics. A Mechanical, Automotive, or similar Engineering degree is preferred. Minimum of 1 year of previous calibration experience, preferably in hybrid systems, is also required.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. System validation engineers: Follow a validation plan to verify the correct behavior of powertrain components when subjected to failures.
    2. Powertrain debug engineers: Assist production, end-of-line, dealerships, and calibration teams to maintain prototypes and customer vehicles fully operational.
    3. Calibration data management: Assembly, validation, and industrialization of calibrations related to powertrain components.
    4. Generic calibration engineers: Plan and perform a wide range of tests on engine bench and vehicle, including engine base calibration, emission, diagnostics, or driveability.
    5. Calibration pilots: Collaborate with junior and senior calibration engineers to ensure proper development of calibrations, acting as technical leads overseeing all activities.

Focusing on gasoline hybrid platforms within current projects, this role requires expertise in calibration of internal combustion engines and high-voltage components.

    Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

    • A Mechanical, Automotive, or similar Engineering degree.
    • An understanding of internal combustion engines and power electronics.
    • Experience with tools such as ETAS INCA, AVL Concerto, Vector Canalyzer, AVL Creta, DDT2000, Matlab Simulink, or similar.
    • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
