Job Description Summary:
The Engineering CAD Coordinator is ultimately responsible for the 3D Master model structure of the whole turbine.

In this role the Master model owner translates the Product breakdown structure from Design Memos to the right structure in UGNX, organizing by Blocks and Product Breakdown Modules.

Essential Responsibilities:


The Engineering CAD- NX coordinator will be taking care of all the transversal activities on 3D process & tools improvements such as but not limited to standardization, expanding clash analysis to the whole turbine, COG drawings, overall dimensions & weight drawings, best practices sharing.

He or she will also

  • Be validating the Engineering Change Order clash analysis and interfaces with other assemblies.
  • Closely work with PDE Block leaders, System engineers and configuration specialists.
  • Own 3D Master Models structure in UGNX.
  • Create Master model for new product, and subelements of each Master model such as PBM groups in UGNX
  • Own periodic block 3D interfaces meeting, update, share & followup actions
  • Ensure engineering change validation for Clash analysis, interfaces, 3D standards.
  • Create and update overall dimension drawings, COG drawings, Weight management
  • Create, develop, and maintain clash analysis integrating Exclusion Zone, Services tooling, manufacturing tooling
  • Be one of the Offshore NX key user and continuously develop skills.
  • Support other functions and perform training, create guides and tips documents, define actions for 3D continuous improvement.
  • Work with Services and manufacturing for tooling management in NX and RPLM.
  • Support PDE daily activity and help solving problem (outline models & drawings strategy )

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering degree from an accredited University or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • Significant technical work experience, ideally in Wind industry
  • Experience with UG NX.
  • Outstanding CAD skills especially in assemblies and components.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to run an Engineering meeting (Keep on task, solicit input, coordinate meeting, etc.)
  • Ability to take notes, write MoM and followup actions.
  • Fluent in English.

Desired Characteristics:


  • Fluent in Spanish and/or French. Experience in Wind Business.
  • Experience in Enovia Renewables PLM Experience as Team leader Ability to weigh options quickly, take input from across team, and make technical decisions to push the pace of development.
  • Proactively identify and remove project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team.
  • Willing to share knowledge, responsibility, and credit to establish trust, credibility, and goodwill across the team.
  • Ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity Ability to work well with global teams, including timezone flexibility.
