Context and description
Growing concern about climate change is currently driving the development of new, more sustainable unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) propulsion technologies.
The objective of this project is the development of a lightweight fuel cell so that the power system has a maximum weight of 16 kg, so that it can be embarked on an unmanned aerial vehicle providing it with a flight autonomy of 1 hour.
The gas supply and cooling system of the stack will be developed at ICB-CSIC, while the balance of plant and control system will be developed jointly between ICB-CSIC and INTA.
The researcher is expected to coordinate the electronic integration of the stack into the aircraft power system and to manage the laboratory and flight testing of the stack for subsequent analysis and certification.
The applicant will join the company's engineering and development department formed by a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers who have actively participated in national and European projects whose results have been disseminated in high-level scientific journals and conferences.
