    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Energy Materials Unit as a Battery Engineer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical engineering, viscoelastic material properties and porous media mechanics. Knowledge of mechanical modelling and experimental studies with simulations is an asset.

    The successful candidate will contribute to the development of R&D projects in advanced battery cell prototype development. This includes project and people management skills, technical task planning, analysis of results and writing monitoring reports for clients and R&D team leaders.

    Your Contribution

    You will be part of a state-of-the-art research centre focused on sustainability and the circular economy. Our work covers the entire value chain, from battery chemistry to final application. You will design and develop cells, modules and battery packs tailored to our customers' needs, with a focus on technology transfer to industry.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Continuous monitoring of project scope and progress
    • Managing project documentation, including writing project reports
    • Analysis of possible improvements during project execution
    • Collaboration on documentation for funding search purposes

    Requirements

    • Education: High level of written and spoken English
    • Knowledge: Sound knowledge in sensors and pressure control systems, mechanical setup development, sensorics and research experience
    • Skills: Detail-oriented, able to work independently, teamwork and problem-solving capacity
