It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is a hosting member of the PRACE European distributed supercomputing infrastructure. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering sciences) under one roof, and currently has over 800 staff from 55 countries.

Context And Mission
BSC is also the coordinator of the HPC node of DIH4CAT, the catalan technological hub to promote digitalisation and transformation of small and medium enterprises, including testbeforeinvest programmes.
We are looking for a person to support the activities of the EuroCC-Spain Competence Centre, the related RES communication activities, and DIH4CAT promotion to industry, within the Infrastructures Access Group of the Operations Department.
Key Duties
Support to the communication activities of EuroCC, the Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES) and DIH4CAT
Support to the organization of EuroCC, RES and DIH4CAT meetings and events, notably the RES User Conference (JURES)
Support to the management and communication activities in other projects of the group

Requirements:

Education
Bachelor or Master's degree (fields like Business, Science, Engineering, Technology, preferred)
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
One year of experience in project management
One year of experience in the organization and management of scientific events
On year of experience in communication activities (social networks, web, etc.)
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
Knowledge of Catalan and Spanish innovation ecosystem
Experience in the field of digital transformation of companies (mainly SMEs) will be highly valued
Competences
High Spanish and Catalan level and good English level
Capacity to organize their own agenda and work plans
Proactive attitude and good communication skills
Travel availability in Spain and Europe, sometimes under short notice, to attend relevant events
Ability to work independently or in teams when required

Conditions

The position will be located at BSC within the Operations Department
We offer a fulltime contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with stateoftheart infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
Duration: Openended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
Starting date: 01/06/2023
