Descripción

The
Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) is a non-profit research institute based in Barcelona dedicated to advancing the understanding of leukemia and related disorders, in collaboration with the University of Barcelona and the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

The IJC has laboratories in 5 locations:
i) Hospital Clínic, ii) Hospital de Sant Pau and iii) Hospital Germans Trias Pujol iv) Hospital del Mar and v) Hospital Josep Trueta Girona.

IJC serves as a collaborative center for basic researchers and physicians to work together on fundamental clinical and biological aspects of leukemia.

The IJC offers an excellent work environment based on a multidisciplinary fusion of state-of-the-art ideas and facilities.

The proteomics Unit is looking for
a Bioinformatic Technician

RESEARCH DESCRIPTION

The Discovery Proteomics unit is tasked with developing and implementing proteomic characterization technologies to support biomarker discovery, target validation, experimental design, and mechanism‐of‐action studies.

You will work closely with other lab-based scientists to support multi-omics data integration.

In this vital role you will conduct statistical analysis, data integration and computational pipeline development.

WHAT WE NEED

  • Implementation of data analysis, management, and visualization
  • Operating data processing pipelines and workflows to generate insight from largescale omics data, investigating biological questions in support of proteomics platform service.
  • Providing expert advice in the domain of bioinformatics to our users and collaborators; helping them with challenges related to bioinformatics software, data formats and biological data repositories

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

The highly motivated computational biologist/bioinformatics professional we seek is a scientist with expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics with these qualifications.
