The Chartboost SDK is one the most widely integrated mobile ad SDKs and through the Chartboost Exchange, Ad Network, DSP and other services, we empower mobile app developers to build businesses, while connecting advertisers to highly engaged audiences.


We're seeking a technically oriented, hands-on engineering manager to lead a team of talented engineers for the DSP Product team.

The system powering the DSP product must deal with 100,000's of requests per second at low latency while integrating with and evaluating hundreds of features for machine learning models.

From handling that scale on a distributed systems architecture, as well as data quality and cleanliness, to the way that we house and handle all of our advertiser's budgeting and creative systems, the DSP product has no shortage of technical areas for an engineering manager to lead a team into.


Impact you will make:


  • Building and growing a team of engineers focused on powering the Advertising Product, a key area of revenue growth for Chartboost
  • Ensure performance and correctness of our real time bidding system and storage systems
  • Work effectively with other engineers, product managers, system architects, and Operations teams to implement and deploy new features, feature enhancements and issue resolutions
  • Work with leadership to set architecture and product goals for the DSP technical stack
  • Participate in technical discussions; come up with innovative ways to improve the product and processes
  • Continuously improve both your management skills and technical knowledge
  • Mentor and lead onsite engineers in coding standards while also contributing to building engineering culture and development practices for the border organization

Who you are:


  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
  • Technical engineering manager who can bring best practices and stay on top on industry standards in distributed systems engineering
  • You have experience working in mostlyAgile way with your team
  • 3+ years of professional experience managing a team of engineers of 6 or more.
  • Experience working with both frontend and backend codebases
  • Experience with Jenkins, Travis, Spinnaker and/or other CI/CD tools.
  • Passionate about what you do and operating with a source of urgency
  • Likes getting things done

Nice to Have:


Experience with GoLang, Python, or ScalaExperience using Google Cloud Platform**- Experience with MySQL and/or MongoDB

  • Experience in advertising technologies and standards
