The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Support Technician to work in Prof. Núria López's research group. This position will be funded by the group's ICIQ funds.

Our mission is to lead, from the vantage point of molecular science, cross-strategies for solving major social and economic challenges, such as climate change and sustainable supply of energetic and raw materials, thereby contributing to the establishment of a knowledge-based economy and improving citizens' quality of life in our influence area.

ICIQ is looking for a Support Technician to work in Prof. Núria López's research group.

Responsibilities:

The technician will perform simulations for the conversion of CO2 to useful materials on complex catalytic interfaces.
They will be preparing simulations, analyzing the data, developing models, and writing drafts for dissemination as publications.

Requirements:

Finished M.Sc. (at the time of signing the contract) in Physical Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry, Computational Modelling, or Materials Science.
Having completed your Master's degree within the last 3 years.
You have not benefited from a training contract before.

Valued qualities:

Experience in chemical modelling and basic computational chemical analysis.
Good levels of Linux and English.
Being very organized and able to work in a team and with researchers with different backgrounds.
Good communication skills.

We offer:

A fulltime oneyear training contract.
Remuneration according to the Institute's salary scales

Annual salary split into twelve monthly payments.
Incorporation: July 2023.
