The role
We are seeking an
IT Product Owner to join our Global IT Hub in Barcelona.

In this role, you will be responsible for our
Snowflake platform's Transformation and Integration area within the
Analytics, Data, and Integration (ADI) team.


As the IT Product Owner, you will collaborate with the global product manager to enhance our services for data engineers and scientists worldwide.

This includes improving automations, development standards, and tool positioning.

You will play a key role in driving the product strategy, aligning it with customer needs, and acting as the main point of contact for our development teams.

Managing the product backlog and prioritizing value delivery throughout the product lifecycle will also be part of your responsibilities.


While this position does not require extensive hands-on work, it is crucial for the technical platform owner to possess the necessary technical skills to oversee and guide the development teams.


What you'll do

  • Determine priority in collaboration with the product manager by analyzing the usage of our platform, interacting with our users, reviewing feedback, and defining personas to guide development. Analyze market and technology trends.
  • Ensure that user stories are prepared with clear description and acceptance criteria so that the team is aligned on what is to be delivered; work with team to define a clear definition of "done".
  • Follow up with the different development teams working on our Snowflake platform to ensure we stay on track towards our roadmap deliverables. Identify and resolve any blockages.
  • Keep our platform in line with Nestle's governance and compliance requirements.
  • Inspires, recognizes achievements, and provides constructive feedback in retrospectives.
  • Helps communicate product progress, new features and releases to users and stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree (or above) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working as a technical product owner or manager in an analytical project/product.
  • Ability to independently break down complex problems, define relevant work scope, and drive it to completion with your team. Strong drive for achieving results.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, open to experimentation, accepting constructive feedback, adapting, and moving forward.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes, infrastructure, and documentation as code.
  • Knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum methodologies, including drafting User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Acceptance Tests. Experience leading Planning and Prioritization, defining user profiles, and guiding development as the voice of the customer.
  • Good understanding of data engineering concepts such as ETL/ELT, data modelling, big data technologies etc.

Bonus Points If you have:


  • Previous experience in a technical position in the analytics field (e.g., architect, data engineer etc.).
  • Familiarity with DBT and/or Python.
  • Prior experience working with the Snowflake platform and/or the Azure cloud platform.
  • Leadership experience working with decentralized teams in multiple locations.
  • Relevant certifications such as SCRUM, PMP, or Snowflake.
