Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain primarily Pythonbased data pipelines and workflows for processing and analyzing large volumes of wind simulation and measurement data on the AWS cloud, handling terabytes of data.
Utilize scientific packages such as NumPy, Pandas, Xarray, and Dask to manipulate and analyze wind simulation data efficiently.
Design and implement scalable data processing solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and validate modeling methods and techniques for turbine and wind farm modeling.
Create proof of concept solutions using simple notebooks for initial experimentation and testing.
Transition successful prototypes into productionready code, focusing on writing clean, robust, and scalable software.
Research and implement advanced modeling techniques, including datadriven models modeling, to improve the accuracy of wind characterization toolchains.
Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or field related to wind energy, postgraduate degrees are a plus.
Experience (4+ years) in Python development, with a focus on scientific computing and data analysis.
Proficiency in scientific Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Xarray.
Proven track record of developing clean, robust, and productionready code.
Strong communication skills and ability to work on complex tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, particularly AWS services such as EC2, S3, and EKS.
Familiar with Apache Airflow.
Knowledge of advanced simulation tools, FEM, CFD etc.
Familiarity with machine learning techniques for data analysis and prediction.
Knowledge of wind energy simulation techniques, such as engineering wake models and site energy assessments.
