Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain primarily Pythonbased data pipelines and workflows for processing and analyzing large volumes of wind simulation and measurement data on the AWS cloud, handling terabytes of data.
  • Utilize scientific packages such as NumPy, Pandas, Xarray, and Dask to manipulate and analyze wind simulation data efficiently.
  • Design and implement scalable data processing solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and validate modeling methods and techniques for turbine and wind farm modeling.
  • Create proof of concept solutions using simple notebooks for initial experimentation and testing.
  • Transition successful prototypes into productionready code, focusing on writing clean, robust, and scalable software.
  • Research and implement advanced modeling techniques, including datadriven models modeling, to improve the accuracy of wind characterization toolchains.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:


  • Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or field related to wind energy, postgraduate degrees are a plus.
  • Experience (4+ years) in Python development, with a focus on scientific computing and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in scientific Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Xarray.
  • Proven track record of developing clean, robust, and productionready code.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work on complex tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, particularly AWS services such as EC2, S3, and EKS.
  • Familiar with Apache Airflow.
  • Knowledge of advanced simulation tools, FEM, CFD etc.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques for data analysis and prediction.
  • Knowledge of wind energy simulation techniques, such as engineering wake models and site energy assessments.
