Position Purpose:


As Purchasing Administrator, you will support execution of Global Sourcing and Procurement efforts (Request for Proposals, bid analysis, contract negotiations) within a defined set of categories, dealing with a range of administration duties.

We are looking for a highly organised person, fluent in English and in Spanish, and with good Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables).


Key Job Activities:


  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all purchase requisitions according to Stericycle's corporate procurement policy. In collaboration with the Buyer, verify that terms are as per contract (e.g., pricing, delivery, payment terms).
  • Contribute to gathering key facts for assigned purchasing categories, including a detailed understanding of descriptions of the product and service offerings, capabilities and strengths/weakness of current suppliers, particularly in terms of delivery and invoice accuracy.
  • Assist in performing a gatekeeper role to ensure internal customers are complying with contracts by using preferred suppliers and buying items for which there is contracted pricing. Assists the Buyer in working with the Accounts Payables team to audit supplier invoices on a periodic basis to ensure contract pricing is being utilized.
  • Manage the daytoday business relationship with key suppliers, in collaboration with the Buyer. Supporting activities may include ordering, communication of demand/volume/delivery time changes, issue resolution, sharing of enduser feedback, follow up on backorders, etc.
  • Assist the Buyer in order to develop and execute sourcing strategies, execute requests for proposals, bid analysis, contract negotiations in partnership with the legal team and sourcing recommendations, including the use of new technologies, to streamline and increase efficiency of the order to payment cycle with the goal of reducing the cost of transactions.
  • Contribute to positioning Stericycle's procurement function as a trusted advisor within the company. All procurement policy, process, and tools must be continually evaluated to ensure the team operates in a world class manner.

Required Education:
Bachelor's or equivalent


Preferred:

Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Operations Management or Supply Chain Management, or the equivalent in related work experience.


Experience (EMEAA):


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Coupa a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in Procurement is a nicetohave.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes, especially technical and analytical skills.
  • Great time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
