We are looking for a research savvy and player centric UX/UI Director interested in developing Candy Crush Soda Saga's UX and UI Design crafts.

This role presents an outstanding opportunity to build impact on a game played by millions of people around the world.

Your Role Within our Kingdom:


Reporting to the Head of Creative, you will be a key partner in the execution and development of Soda's research and design efforts.

You will be an encouraging leader and role model in the Kingdom for your craft, working closely with other creative leaders in the company to innovate and inspire


Key responsibilities include:


Product:

  • Champion creative excellence, driving design innovation and ensuring a player
- centered approach to all aspects of game development.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Creative to drive the creative vision for Candy Crush Soda.
  • Help teams solve design problems while guiding them through vision, design pillars, and standard methodologies.
  • Act as an active advocate for our players, leading research and design across the product to make the experience as fluid and engaging as Soda's gameplay.
  • Be a champion of inclusive design in Soda and King.
  • Align with crafts and teams across Soda to drive meaningful changes within the game.

Process:


  • Develop and implement design processes and methodologies, ensuring high quality design and creative elements across the game.
  • Build a user research vision and center of excellence within Soda, developing standard processes, tooling, and resources.
  • Act as a leader with vision for design standard methodologies and workflows, actively advocating for and leading in the areas of rapid prototyping, user research, and design iteration.

People:


  • Encourage, nurture, and mentor UX and UI designers, UX Researchers and writers across Soda.
  • Provide clear craft development mentorship for the team.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Creative and other craft leaders across the organization to craft and evangelize a cohesive creative vision for Soda.

Skills & experience:


  • Confirmed experience as an inspiring leader within the UX design craft. Experience with leading UI teams with heavy focus on production efficiency and consistency.
  • Strategic creative problem solver with a scientific design approach, not afraid to optimize and experiment to get the best results.
  • Strong research and player centric demeanor. Experience with driving player centric methodologies and optimisation of research pipelines.
  • Savvy understanding of emerging trends in gaming with experience as a creative leader in the gaming industry. Bonus for enthusiasm around the mobile free to play market.
  • Ability to communicate creative vision, process, decisions, and rationale to team members and cross
- functional stakeholders into a toolkit for teams that encourages and motivates.

  • Thrives in a collaborative environment with complex collaborator dynamics. Comfortable with translating craft language to communicate with a wide variety of fields.
