The Product Director for Data Ingestion is a strategic leadership role responsible for guiding the development and execution of data ingestion capabilities, ensuring efficient data mappings, and overseeing robust documentation efforts.

This role is crucial for optimizing data flow, ensuring data accuracy, and enabling seamless integrations.

Responsibilities:

This role will encompass all aspects of the following:

Strategy & Leadership:

Define and drive the strategic vision for data ingestion capabilities across the organization.
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, analysts, and technical writers to achieve product goals.
Partner with our world class data science team to learn about the LLMs & AI capabilities we're building inhouse

Data Mapping & Transformation:

Oversee the design and implementation of effective data mappings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to understand and optimize data transformations.

API Documentation & Development:

Ensure the creation and maintenance of comprehensive API documentation, highlighting data ingestion processes and best practices.
Work closely with engineering teams to improve the API capabilities and address integration challenges.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Engage with key stakeholders across the company to gather requirements and prioritize data ingestion needs.
Communicate product developments and updates to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with emerging technologies and methodologies in data ingestion and API development.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Implement best practices and standards to ensure the quality and reliability of data.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data ingestion, data engineering, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of leadership.
Deep understanding of data mapping techniques and methodologies.
Proficiency in API development and documentation.
Strong analytical, problemsolving, and organizational skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with data ingestion tools and platforms, as well as data privacy regulations.
