    Digital is a fundamental element of the Brambles transformation strategy. We will use our existing and new digital capabilities and information to power smarter more sustainable supply chains allowing us to Reimagine how we work and serve customers, Reshape how we manage our assets and Reinvent our business models allowing greater partnership with customers which solve customer problems.

    The chief responsibility of the Product Owner is to enhance the value of applications and/or platforms and the user experience consistently, efficiently, and profitably. They are responsible for creating and maintaining the product backlog, maintaining a cohesive and singular vision.

    Major/Key Accountabilities

    The Product Owner is responsible for creating and maintaining the product backlog:

  • Incorporate feature requests into the product backlog
  • Refine and prioritise the backlog according to business value and in alignment with business and technology strategy:Develop epics, user stories and acceptance criteria (in partnership with Analytics Translators where assigned)Ensure user stories meet the team's 'definition of ready' prior to commitment to a sprint/development iteration.
  • Set sprint/development iteration goals.
  • Work with the engineering team to continuously provide direction, define and deliver value added features and participate in ceremonies such as planning, refinement, demos and retrospectives.
  • Inspect the product's progress during each iteration and accept or reject completed work based on the 'definition of done'.
  • Work with relevant technology, operations, and business readiness teams to ensure product features and services are successfully launched to production, in partnership with delivery leads.
  • Monitor product performance and feedback from users in collaboration with product managers and UX researchers, gather feedback and translate it into new backlog items.
  • In-depth working knowledge of the applications, processes, procedures, business rules and all interfaces – be the SME for the product, able to talk in detail about it at all levels of the organisation.
  • Definition of KPIs such as performance, response times, uptime, availability etc.
  • Ensure long term viability and supportability of the solution through clean modular feature design.
  • Regularly review and promptly communicate changes to roadmap(s)
  • Contribute to the definition of the support/service wrapper to ensure effective BAU operation e.g.:Service DesignOperating Metrics/Quality standardsService Level Agreements (SLAs)Support/Engagement Model/Incident ManagementOperating Metrics/Quality standards
  • Experience

  • + 5 years' experience as a software technology product owner within a development/scrum team.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing software products for internal users (B2E).
  • Familiar with release management, early life support, and service design and delivery.
  • Comfortable working with analytics data and other sources to determine product investment decisions
  • Ability to understand and analyse end user needs and translate those into meaningful user stories and acceptance criteria for delivery by the development team.
  • Experience defining OKRs, how they're used/measured, and using them to evidence a clear path to value.
  • Strong communication skills required to tightly link together all involved units and stakeholders during the definition, development, and rollout processes.
  • Experience in Supply Chain and/or IoT solution offerings.
  • Fluency in English essential. Fluency in additional European languages desirable.

  • CSPO, PSPO or POPM
