Furthermore, the employee supports in the supervision and control of risks (1LoD) that occur in the Front Office Departments of Bank Julius Baer Europe S.A.

• Proactively contact clients and manage discussions connected to the offboarding procedures.
• Handle the account closure process of existing clients.
• Work alongside the internal stakeholders from different departments and locations as well as external stakeholders to ensure that all regulatory obligations and internal requirements are met for the allocated book of clients.
• Act as centre of competence within the 1st LoD for questions in connection with resolution initiatives.
• Support the local development, setup, operation, and maintenance of the bank's 1LoD Risk Management framework.
• Perform 1LoD controls according to 1LoD control plan for the Front Office departments of BJBE.
• Coordinate and monitor remediation activities and align with supervisor or 2LoD.
• Support fraud and other risk related tasks and investigations affecting BJBE and its branches.
• Drive compliance to policies to meet existing and enhanced standards.
• Prepare control and risk reports on predefined standards for Management and Risk Committees.
• Challenge status quo if necessary to increase efficiency, effectiveness, or risk mitigation.

• Degree in Economics, Finance or other related fields.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, other languages are beneficial.
• Excellent MS office skills (specifically MS Excel and MS Word; MS PowerPoint is an advantage).
• Sound knowledge in regulatory and risk topics (e.g. MiFID II, AML, Fraud, Cross border).
• Indepth knowledge in banking services and client servicing.
• Work on own initiative, take responsibility and solution oriented
• Efficient, diligent and structured work method.

• 1 2 years experience in a client facing function preferred. Risk or Compliance background alternatively will be considered.
• Further education in financial markets.
• Very good interpersonal skills, open and approachable.
• Generalist knowhow of a broad array of asset classes paired with a strong interest for financial markets.
