    The Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Legal Counsel who will work closely with all functions within EasyPark Group on a broad range of legal matters serving primarily our European and UK regions. This is an exciting opportunity where you will get to work in a leading, fast-growing tech company and play an important role in supporting the global business.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be an essential member of a global, growing legal team, and work closely with business stakeholders throughout the organization to support various projects, product development and contract negotiations. You will use your strong interpersonal skills and your ability to combine legal knowledge with business acumen to advise our teams and create pragmatic solutions to complex legal issues.

This role could be based in one of our European office locations, such as for example Stockholm, Sweden; Milan or Rome, Italy; Madrid, Spain; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; or Paris, France. However, we have a requirement for certain language skills fluency as described below.

You will contribute and make an impact through the following core responsibilities:

    • Review, draft and negotiate customer contracts, vendor agreements, licensing agreements and bespoke strategic partnership agreements
    • Ensure contracts comply with relevant laws and regulations while protecting the company's interests
    • Offer legal support and guidance on privacy issues as they arise, in collaboration with the company's Data Protection Officer
    • Support special projects as needed in areas such as acquisitions, regulatory/licensing, consumer protection, compliance, cybersecurity, etc.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and manage legal risks effectively
    • Collaborate with and manage external counsel as necessary
    • Conduct legal workshops and trainings for employees
    • Assist with designing, building and improving internal legal operations and processes as we continue to grow and scale

    About you

We don't know you yet but to be a strong fit for our company and legal team, we believe that you are:

A self-starter - You are ambitious and driven, with the experience and ability to work independently.

    A problem-solver - You have a strong business understanding and a solution-oriented approach.

Detail-oriented - You have an eye for detail but also the ability to adopt a big picture perspective when needed.

Effective - You have strong time management skills and the capability to prioritize conflicting demands and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborative - You have excellent interpersonal skills and are a star when it comes to stakeholder management and a team-oriented approach to getting the work done.

Outgoing and curious - Since networking and establishing long-term cross-functional relationships with people in different roles from different cultures and countries are essential to this role's success, you are outgoing, curious and comfortable having relationships with many different types of people.

    Your background

We don't think one size fits all, but a successful candidate will have the following:

    • Master of law from a reputable university or law school in Sweden, the Netherlands, or another European country or the United States
    • 6 or more years commercial legal experience as in-house legal counsel at a fast-paced company and/or at a top-tier corporate law firm
    • Solid understanding of contract law with deep experience of drafting and negotiating commercial agreements of various types
    • Solid knowledge of European privacy laws, especially GDPR
    • Experience working in a global environment where navigating projects across different time zones, languages, and cultures are the norm every day
    • Preferably fluent in Swedish, but alternatively in Norwegian or Danish, and fluent in English. Fluency skills must be both written and verbal. Any other language skills are meritorious as you will work with colleagues and stakeholders in various countries.

We are a values-driven company with a diverse, international culture and global presence. We believe in encouraging and supporting our team members to take initiative and stretch themselves outside of their comfort zone. To have an open mind and embrace change is a part of our DNA.

At EasyPark, we are dedicated to maintaining an open culture where the voice of each person is heard, and we play as one team across the globe. Diversity is something we celebrate and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for everyone.
