    Position at The British School of Malaga ALN Teacher We welcome applications from teachers with experience in either SEN settings or mainstream settings with significant SEN experience.

    Purpose of the Role You will be responsible for teaching groups of students with mild or moderate learning difficulties?.

    Many of these students have difficulties specifically related to literacy and dyslexia. You will modify the existing curriculum for core subjects (e.g. maths, writing, reading?) to meet each student's learning requirements and build individual plans tailored to their specific needs.

    You will communicate with parents, teachers and support staff about important matters that may be considered barriers to learning and may impede students' progress.

    Ultimately, you will help and inspire children to achieve important learning milestones.
    Responsibilities In addition to ISP Teacher Role Profile. 1. Assess students' abilities and develop teaching plans that match the individual learning needs of the students. 2. Ensure that the quality of teaching and learning in lessons is of the highest possible quality. 3. Adapt learning materials to students' needs. 4. Keep track of and reflect on students' progress , ensuring records are up to date. 5. Monitor children's behavioural patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed. 6. Find engaging activities to teach skills. 7. Prepare students for transition to the next year/KS. 8. Inform parents about their children's performance. 9. Collaborate with all school staff to ensure a cohesive learning approach for all students in the classroom. 10. Adopt a Growth Mindset approach to learning, developing student independence, self- sufficiency and resilience. 11.

    Maintain high expectations of students and ensure that teaching approaches and materials are commensurate with student capability so that the optimum standard of student achievement is reached.

    Participate in some duties related to dining room and/or playground supervision.
    Collectively, we share and co-develop best practice for the benefit of all.
    From time to time, attend training courses, conferences, seminars or other meetings.
