About the role


We are seeking a Head of IT as the first member and leader of the IT function responsible for end-to-end support.

By using your technical background, together with strong analytical skills, you will make us more efficient.

We are looking for a team player who will lead by example, by rolling up your sleeves to help get the job done.

We expect this role to be an escalation point for issues the team is unable to resolve and be the leader for improving our processes.


Your mission will be to:

  • Build out the IT function for a cloud native, modern SaaS enterprise
  • Serve as escalation point for technical support and customer service
  • Quickly diagnose and understand technical issues and resolutions across a huge variety of apps & hardware
  • Share in covering IT ticket queue and oncall rotation if/when required
  • Drive vendor relationships & budget tracking
  • Drive documentation efforts and process improvements across the team
  • Hiring and scaling the IT team in conjunction with the company's growth
  • Manage endtoend lifecycle of employee hardware/software
  • Manage access and security of internal software and tools
  • Work with engineering, customer success, and HR to define and implement security policies as it pertains to onboarding, offboarding, data access, contractors, etc.
  • Manage and develop office network, A/V, and office infrastructure
About you.

We are looking for someone with:

  • 7+ years in IT support role with recent experience leading an IT team. Significant experience growing and leading IT helpdesk, site support, and operations functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and helpful customer servicecentric attitude.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, and able to do occasional travel.
  • Strong knowledge of modern SaaS tools, and ability to pick up new ones quickly: Google Apps, Office 365, Okta, Salesforce, Atlassian, etc.
  • Proficiency supporting hundreds of users in a predominantly macOS environment.
  • Prior experience with migration and consolidation of users between different SaaS systems (e.g. unifying project management software, knowledge bases, etc.)
  • Automation and securityfirst mindset, especially when architecting laptop images, directory services, and network
  • Passion and experience for metrics, reporting and analytics.
  • Ability to handle multiple, concurrent priorities and deliver projects on time, with quality
  • Nice to have: experience with GDPR and SOC 2 compliance
