Job Description:


We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at an exclusive hotel in the Middle East (specific location undisclosed).

As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, lead the culinary team, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing creative and diverse menus that showcase culinary excellence and cater to guest preferences.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and standards.
  • Lead by example in culinary skill and professionalism, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to develop the talents and capabilities of kitchen team members.
  • Participate in menu development, recipe creation, and food costing to maintain profitability while delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Ensure that food production is carried out according to established standards of taste, presentation, and portion control, while also meeting health and safety regulations.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients, and minimizing waste through proper storage and utilization techniques.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as food and beverage, events, and catering, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of culinary offerings.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and morale among kitchen staff.
  • Assist in administrative tasks, such as scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations, to support effective kitchen operations.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a reputable hotel, restaurant, or culinary establishment.
  • Strong culinary skills and creativity, with a passion for creating innovative and highquality dishes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse kitchen team.
  • Thorough knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and demanding environment, while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the hospitality industry.

Pay:
From 2,000.00€ per month
