    The Assistant Store Manager Role

    This position is responsible for achieving the sales and profit targets by managing and coordinating the daily operations of the store and sales staff, and reporting the results of your work to the Store Manager.

    Sales & Customer Service

    • Ensure excellent customer service and effective zoning on the shop floor.
    • Maintain company standards in all store areas (FOH, BOH) per brand guidelines.
    • Provide feedback on customer service and support sales by monitoring and driving KPIs.

    Operations

    • Ensure compliance with Karl Lagerfeld operational guidelines.
    • Oversee POS transactions, stock maintenance, and replenishment.
    • Execute merchandising plans, campaigns, and promotions on time.
    • Maintain correct pricing, signage, and a hazard-free environment.
    • Prevent theft and ensure adherence to health & safety policies.
    • Communicate and implement head office directives within the team.

    Commercial

    • Analyze sales performance and customer feedback to drive improvements.
    • Assist in forecasting and merchandising strategies to boost sales.
    • Monitor competition and anticipate customer demand.

    People Management

    • Support recruitment, development, and motivation of the team.
    • Provide structure, coaching, and performance management.
    • Manage absenteeism and ensure daily priorities are met.

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible retail experience, with a minimum of 2 years management experience.
    • English advanced language skills.
    • Broad experience managing teams and creating the best environment at the store. Leadership skills are key to success.
    • Extensive experience and ability to lead the delivery of a high level of customer service.
    • Retail operations, budgeting, planning, customer service, leadership, and sales experience required.
    • Ability to communicate honestly, openly, and constructively.
