in Madrid we're looking for?


Your future role


You'll develope electrical and mechanical engineering tasks in Services activities, including assessment, requirements specification, equipment and functional design and integration, BOM definition, cable routing, validation and certification activities, so that they contribute to enhance QCD performance and meet Projects and Business Unit objectives.

Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering), collaborate to meet the objectives established by the management for Maintenance Projects and much more.


You'll specifically take care of
defining functional requirements and equipment technical features aligned with customer specifications, but also developing engineering activities with due diligence, self-initiative, coordination, team-working and continuous improvement.


We'll look to you for:

  • Comply with Alstom standards and Quality, Cost, Delay (QCD) commitments while performing mechanical and electrical engineering tasks
  • Perform the system assessment, design, studies, calculations and complete BOM definition to enable series reparation, production or acquisition. Manage those required fleet or facilities design modifications following Alstom procedures and methods & tools.
  • Secure the system validation and performances demonstration, and support Certification and Homologation processes for those new or redesigned mechanical, electrical or structural solutions, preparing and providing both technical and documentation evidences.
  • Open and trusty relationships with internal and external customers, providing the required technical clarifications and support to troubleshooting in order to get products / solutions validated and installed in line with project objectives.
  • Effective resolution of service failures or repair needs in electrical, power and controlinformation components, mechanical components being either part of rolling stock, infrastructure or maintained facilities.
  • Support to tenders by providing preliminary technical definitions, studies and calculations for mechanical and electrical solutions, as well as optimized design, installation, validation and homologation costs.
  • Effective interface and coordination with external engineering providers on mechanical and electrical engineering tasks, including requirements definition, clarifications, design followup and deliverables validation.
  • Selfinitiative and continuous contribution to improving engineering M&T and implementation of standard processes.

  • University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years experience in electromechanical design engineering activities at detail level within of the following domains: Mechanical design, power systems, low voltage, control/information solutions, FEM calculation
  • Valuable railway engineering experience as well as structural components.
  • Advance level in CATIA V5: Part and Assembly design, Drawing, Advance surface design, FTA and Harness.
  • Knowledge of FEM calculation methods and tools (ANSYS, HYPERMESH, CATIA V5 )
