The Institute


The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries.

The CRG is composed of an interdisciplinary, motivated, and creative scientific team that is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.


In April 2021, the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) received the renewal of the 'HR Excellence in Research' Award from the European Commission.

The role

About the team
Cosma's team is investigating the functional role of 3D genome organization using single-molecule localization microscopy, genomic and modeling approaches (Ricci et al. Cell 2015; Neguembor et al. Molecular Cell 2021; Neguembor et al. Nat Struct Mol Biol 2022, and Martinez-Sarmiento et al. Cell Reports The team includes lab members who are experts in imaging, cell biology, and computational science.


Whom would we like to hire?**
Professional experience

Must Have

  • You have several years of experience in microscopy, imaging analysis, cellular, and molecular biology
  • You have proven experience in projects in which you have answered key biological questions
  • You have a high level of independence, and you are curiositydriven

Desirable but not required/ Nice to have**- Experience in super-resolution imaging, optics, and a basic knowledge of computational biology


Education and training

  • You hold a Phd in biology, biotechnology, biophysics, or related disciplines

Languages

  • You are fluent in English

Technical skills

  • You have advanced MS Office skills and competence in imaging analysis software

Competences

  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
