As the leader of our growing secondary team, you would be expected to be dynamic and collaborative, with high expectations of both staff and students.

We are looking for someone who can inspire, challenge and engage our staff team and who takes pride in developing positive working relationships within the workplace.

A commitment to educating the whole child, emphasis on high levels of pastoral care and an inclusive approach to education will be of the utmost importance as we make the final appointment.

The ability to adapt quickly to new situations, with a problem solving mindset is something we as a school value very highly.

As our students come to us from a range of different backgrounds and with varying needs, an interest in raising attainment across all ability levels is imperative.

Our most recent cohort of students achieved an average of 34 points in the IB Diploma from a fully inclusive intake, and accessed a range of top universities across Spain, the UK and other parts of the world.

We are looking to grow and develop this profile of excellence even further.


St George Madrid is a well established British International School within the St George Group of Schools in Spain and is located in a prime educational zone to the North of the capital.

The school is an all-through school, and is based on a single site with children aged from 20 months to 18 years.

We follow an adapted English National Curriculum across our primary and secondary schools, leading to examination at IGCSE and IB Diploma.


As an international school we expect all of our staff to commit to the wider life of the school, through our after-school programme, as well as school events and activities going on throughout the year and the Head of Secondary is a key figure-head in ensuring the ongoing success of such events and programmes.
