The working territory is Cataluña and Baleares, and you will be expected to be located in Barcelona.

**A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Selling and account support

  • Analyse the marketplace, develop an effective territory/account sales strategy, and present the strategy to management to gain approval for implementation.
  • Perform all activities to maximize sales (in line with the sales strategy) from product introduction and presentation to contract negotiation.
  • Identify and address all key decision makers (clinical, administrative / economic) and key opinion leaders in all accounts and report on them via the provided systems and personally to the district manager on a regular basis.
  • Further increase penetration in existing accounts, develop existing accounts into potential new product therapies/patient therapies and develop actual nonbuying accounts.
  • Build together with regional and business manager strong and lasting business relationships with key opinion leaders and key decision makers influential in the purchasing process.
  • Identify, prepare, and execute upcoming tenders.
  • Attend, participate and communicate about presentations in key professional congresses and events as required.
  • Provide technical support to customers (i.e., physicians, consultants, cardiologists) according to territory guidelines.
  • Ensure that consignment and all other stock levels are properly controlled, according to the asset management guidelines and targets.
  • In conjunction with regional sales manager, plan sales coverage/resources in the most effective and economical manner.
  • Support clinical activities on request.
Education/training

  • Train and educate relevant hospital staff on Medtronic products.
  • Use Medtronic resources, if necessary, in the most effective way.
  • Maintain and acquire constantly new product, technology, market, health care environment, sales tool and process knowledge.
  • Acquire and improve constantly all necessary professional selling skills, in accordance with the company's personal development program.
Internal and administrative

  • Report and regularly update all account, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete, and timely fashion.
  • Report immediately and accurately all negative customer or product related events (e.g. customer feedback, product and legal issues and risks etc.).
  • Plan and prepare sales forecasts by account, product, and therapy for the territory along with proposed meetings/customer activities and investments.
  • Carry out all administrative duties and all necessary reports in a timely and diligent manner, (i.e., customer reports, stock reports, monthly reports, etc.). Provide regular activity report to district manager.
  • Attend all required regional, national and international Medtronic meetings.
**Must-Haves

  • Degree in Life-Science, Engineering, or other relevant degree.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in healthcare/medical (device) industry.
  • Experience in a sales role.
  • Experience within the Gastrointestinal therapies will be a must.
  • Fluent in English (reading, conversation, and writing).
  • Driver's license.
