For our operations in our factory in
Alcala de Henares, we are currently seeking a
business unit manager.

Duties / Responsibilities:


  • Coordinates, controls and coaches the activities of the team in the Production and Warehouse areas.
  • Ensures GMP, EHS and Quality requirements are met in the area of responsibility.
  • Ensures that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentation in order to obtain the required quality.
  • Approves the instructions relating to production operations and to ensure their strict implementation.
  • Ensures that the production records are evaluated and signed by an authorized person before they are sent to the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Checks the maintenance of the departments, premises and equipment.
  • Ensures that the appropriate validations are done.
  • Ensures that the required initial and continuing training of the department personnel is carried out and adapted to the need.
  • Actively drives and encourages the identification and implementation of continuous improvements initiatives within the Production and Warehouse departments.

Qualifications:


  • Pharmaceutical, Sciences or Engineering Degree
  • 10 to 12 years manufacturing experience of which 5 years should be at a Management Level
  • Additional managerial qualification would be advantageous
  • Projects/Continuous Improvement/Maintenance management experience and skills
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience will be advantageous
  • A strong track record in building, managing and motivating high performing teams
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be customer focused
  • Previous OTC or practice in Pharma would be an added benefit for the role

  • Project Management skills and understanding of end to end project execution
  • Ability to work independently and lead crosses functional teams
