CP Installation Technician
Location: Spain/International


Reports to:
Sr Manager - RDS Install International


Job description:

The installation technician is responsible for delivering fully functioning, tested pharmacy automation solutions.

The position is customer facing and the installation technician owns all onsite activities of the installation from equipment delivery to the point of signed-off handover to the local service department /go live managers and signed customer acceptance.

The position is Spain based but will require travel (in Spain & abroad)


Responsibilities

  • Deliver RDS machine installation + upgrade projects onsite to successful completion while implementing adherence to Omnicell Installation, commissioning, quality and local EHS procedures and ensuring that these are followed.
  • Work closely with the local projects team and installation manager to accurately schedule project delivery and deliver customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with projects + installation manager in resolving any onsite escalation to ensure project timelines remain intact.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving onsite during the installation, coordinating additional parts deliveries with the plant. Ability to modify solutions in the field if necessary.
  • Responsible for tracking hours and costs during installations and reporting these to the installation Manager.
  • Ensuring all supporting ISO documentation is complete and sent to the installation manager.
  • Work overtime as and when required to ensure ontime project delivery. This includes working unsociable hours and/or weekends.
  • Ability to delight the customer and motivate the onsite team.

Requirements:


  • Relevant (electro/mechanical engineering) Level 4 qualification or relevant experience. (BS7671 18th edition required). Experience working in an installation/service role desirable, ideally employing similar technologies in the healthcare/pharmacy automation sector.
  • Engineering product troubleshooting and problem knowledge of typically used electromechanical assemblies, subassemblies, mechanical tolerances and machine building methodologies and materials. (DIN)
  • Indepth solving skills and ability to work in a customerfacing environment under pressure.
  • Able to understand and work from complex mechanical and electrical schematics including ACAD 2D/3D and EPLAN.
  • Experienced in configuration of inverters, motors/servo drives, HMI, Digital IO's and indepth understanding of IT networking topologies.
  • PLC (inc.troubleshooting) experience ideally S7, Beckhoff TC2/3 and Schneider somachine. VB scripting an advantage.
  • Experienced in installation and commissioning of complex downstream transport systems.
  • Effective communications skills and fluent English are a requirement. Other languages (German) desirable.
  • Able to work with hospital project teams and external clientside contractors.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Spain and international.
