Responsibilities:


The Payroll Manager, EMEA is responsible for the day-to-day payroll operations of the EMEA payroll team, responsible for all locations in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Current locations include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and United Kingdom.

Ensuring operational performance with a continuous improvement mindset related to payroll, time administration, tax filings, tax and payroll audits, garnishment processing, and general ledger postings.

Coordinate competing priorities and additional payroll projects within the team, respond to challenging situations that require professionalism, diplomacy and sensitivity, and manage relationships with 3rd party vendors.


  • Lead team of payroll/accounting specialists, ensuring compliance with all corporate, government, countryspecific policies, and procedures
  • Lead the execution of outsourced payroll processing and time management solutions to deliver ontime and accurate pay in accordance with all governmental laws
  • Establish relationships with 3rd payroll vendors to ensure effective service delivery
  • Develop and manage appropriate reporting and controls to ensure accurate pay and related regulatory reporting/compliance
  • Collaborate on SLAs, governance and identifying opportunities for improvement to drive longterm success
  • Main escalation point for all EMEA payroll issues
  • Responsible for ensuring all resolved issues are analyzed and communicated to ensure thorough resolution across the region
  • Coach, mentor and provide leadership to team members
  • Drive team engagement and collaboration across regional team
  • Execute payroll strategy and drive harmonization
  • Partner with key stakeholders including Benefits, Compensation, Finance, Legal, HRBPs, and other functional support areas as appropriate to address business needs and issues proactively
  • Act as EMEA payroll workstream lead on cross functional projects
  • Implementation of new countries or new entities, as required
  • Participate in strategy development and implementation within the global payroll operations team

Qualifications:


  • Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years' experience processing multicountry payroll
  • Knowledge of EMEA labor laws and payroll administration practices
  • Experience working with global/outsourced payroll vendors and platform technologies
  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and ability to influence
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate with others from across the business, at all levels
  • Ability to drive engagement and change within a team
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Fluent in English
