Role Summary:


The Segment Logistics Leader is responsible for the direct and indirect oversight and management of logistics activities across a given business segment regionally, ensuring successful execution of material movements through the end customer meeting on time and performance requirements.

This includes assigned internal and external (3rd party logistics) warehousing, domestic transportation and supporting international movement of goods.

This leader is responsible for execution and driving alignment between the business segment creating, executing, and measuring to a strategy while being accountable for meeting financial targets.


This leader will be a member of the Global Logistics team reporting to the Regional Logistics Senior Manager within Supply Chain interfacing with internal stakeholders including segment leaders and their direct reports, supplier leadership, and the supply chain leadership team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes the segment logistics plan and strategy interfacing with business and functional leaders.
  • Meets customer delivery requirements and remains consistently focused on customer needs through integrated processes, systems, and use of technology.
  • Align warehousing and transportation to drive successful logistics operations through the network.
  • Communicate and mitigate risks for all segment logistics activities.
  • Drives logistics performance levels to meet established goals and targets. Evaluates actual performance in support of business and logistics strategies and leads corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide accurate forecasting of logistics capabilities and constraints for short, mid, and longterm.
  • Identify and manage business improvement opportunities by analyzing data and gathering inputs.
  • Lead Logistics improvement and optimization initiatives from idea generation to realization and financial validation. Partner with internal/external stakeholders to identify, track, and drive opportunities and build a pipeline of logisticsrelated cost savings opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain segment logistics roadmap and project funnel, project timelines and governance. Project manage key logistics projects.
  • Drive operational and financial results to include performance, trending, and proper actioning.

Qualifications:
The items listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and experience required and preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of supply chain, logistics, or operations experience
  • 5+ years of management or supervisory experience leading a team
  • Preferred experience in automotive, industrial coatings, or the broader chemical segment.
  • Strong SAP knowledge and experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • Robust analytical skills and continuous improvement mindset (Six Sigma Certification preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office: Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • Demonstrated ability to network and build relationships with multiple stakeholders across functions
