    Job Description

    We are looking for an inspirational leader to fill the position of General Manager for the new Ibis Styles Madrid T4 Airport Valdebebas hotel in Madrid, who will join the staff of our Accor franchise partner company.

    Our franchise partner company is a family business currently developing its activities in multi-brand hotel management in Spain and France that are growing, with several years of experience, as well as diversified activities in different sectors ranging from vineyards to technology.

    This hotel is a new Flagship project and will open in January 2025. The hotel is located in Valdebebas, very close to Madrid Barajas Airport T4, and will have 260 rooms, F&B offer, as well as a rooftop with swimming pool. There will be direct shuttle service from the hotel to the airport.

    We are looking for a person with leadership, interpersonal skills and strategic vision who is able to drive a committed and unified team, ensure guest satisfaction and maximize the hotel's operational results.

    What are the main responsibilities of the job?

    • To function as the main strategic leader of the hotel, being responsible for the hotel operations in order to achieve customer satisfaction (guests, employees, corporate and owners) and deliver quality service while meeting / exceeding financial targets.
    • Ensure the best quality of service and convey the Ibis Styles concept and idea.
    • Optimise RevPar by optimising the various sales channels.
    • Maximise revenue potential and maintain strict cost control procedures to ensure that our targets and budgets are achieved.
    • Lead the team and create a Heartist spirit.
    • Ensure the quality of the accommodation offerings as well as F&B.
    • Ensure proper implementation and monitoring of Accor and owner's policies and procedures, always with the customer at the centre.
    • Ensure the correct application of labour, health and safety relations.
    • Be fully responsible for the operations of all hotel departments.
    • Represent Accor and the Owners in all matters relating to the Hotel.
    Qualifications
    • Solid experience as a General Manager in a hotel or similar. Experience in airport hotels will be a plus.
    • Strong customer orientation, emotional intelligence, as well as exemplary behavior and being a source of credibility combined with your sense of commitment.
    • Management and leadership skills to unite your team around a collective project, with the aim of achieving the hotel's economic objectives and customer satisfaction.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
    • Fluency in Spanish and English, other French languages will be highly valued.

    • Knowledge of business acumen (profit & loss).
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
    • Team spirit.
    • Strong flexibility and agility skills to work in a fast changing and fast evolving environment.
