Iberia Financial Operations Lead
Job Summary:
The focus of this role is to mitigate "controllable" credit and collection risk and act as key contact for Iberia.
The role holder works towards ensuring timely collection from customers while continuing to enhance customer satisfaction by performing all tasks with high professionalism and speed at mínimal costs.
This role maintains a strong relationship with the customers, O2C colleagues and works collaboratively with the Commercial and Finance teams.
The position's purpose is to enable the best customer experience, as well as to achieve and maintain truly standardized and efficient processes in Credit, Collection, Dispute and AR-Management (processes, systems and data) for Iberia-
Major Tasks:
- Performs best in class processes in Credit, Collection, Dispute and AR-Management (processes, systems, data, and risk profiles) to ensure ease of doing business with Bayer, enhances customer experience and efficiency in line with defined Procedure (699)
- Reviews and approves credit risk assessment and credit limit proposals from the service provider in line with authorization limit
- Provides business acumen and coaching wherever needed to the service provider to support building the bestinclass B2C services
- Initiates and follow up on required Legal cases
- Monitors adherence to global processes in alignment with the Regional Financial Operations Manager
- Ensures all global processes are inline with the country's legal requirements and aligned with functional leadership and divisions
- Ensures collaboration with B2C community, divisions (Marketing & Sales), O2C peers, IT, Product Supply, Finance, and the service provider
- Supports the global service delivery strategy by ensuring:
- Service provider is clear on deliverables and activities for which they are responsible for
- A clear understanding of all enabling technology (e.g., cloud solutions, portals, satellite systems)
- A clear understanding of SAP standards (e.g., SAP FSCM)
- Supports the global rollout of future enabling technologies
- Manages KPI reporting to measure the respective processes in terms of efficiency, quality and compliance and proposes continuous improvements while gaining customer and market insights
- Responsible for process change management as Demand Owner via the Demand Management Process
Qualification & Competencies:
- Bachelor university degree or MBA holder
- Minimum 5+ years of operational experience in Finance function with relevant experience in Bill to Cash operations and Credit Management
- Understanding of financial principals and good understanding for preventing errors / issues downstream as well as extended experience in a multinational company with a strong customer orientation
- Handson experience in SAP and willingness to learn as well as teach new tools used in the process
- Ability to network and build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Continuous improvement mindset

- Excellent Spanish and English communication skills, Portuguese optional
