Job Title: Development Engineer Electrical Yaw System

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Development Engineer to join our international team in Hamburg, Germany. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and analyzing electrical yaw systems for our wind turbines.

Your Tasks:

• Specify, perform, evaluate, and document tests for the yaw system on component, system, and turbine level
• Analyze field data to verify the correct behavior of the yaw system
• Program the yaw converter according to aligned functional specifications and design control strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discuss yaw system requirements and develop technical specifications
• Review proposed technical solutions and component dimensioning with external suppliers
• Create relevant technical documentation, including FMEA, manuals, and technical notifications

Requirements:

• M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar background
• Advanced user in MATLAB/Simulink
• Expertise in programming languages like SCL (Siemens) and/or Python
• Experience in data analysis is an advantage
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Spanish and/or German is helpful
