Providing support in the R&T Laboratory

Conducts a variety of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure by performing the following duties:

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Read test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
Test functional performance of systems, subassemblies and parts under specified environmental conditions such as air flow, voltage, temperature change, vibration.
Communication with test engineers to identify test process improvement ideas or /and opportunities.
Responsible for testing, including equipment setup and functional measurement pre and post test parts and generation of the related data for final reports.
Maintain test equipment by repairing or replacing defective components.
Procure necessary consumables in support of testing process.
Participate in 8D problem solving teams.
Analyze post test samples and customer returned units to evaluate the status of the samples and in case of failure, determine the root cause and propose the possible solutions.
Good communication skills to interact with other departments, follow instructions and work in both a supervised and unsupervised environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)
Associates technical certificate in Electronics field or equivalent work experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, test procedures, equipment manuals, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Microsoft Office user.
Spanish&English fluent.
Must be wellorganized, flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment.
