Job Description:

The Category Manager of Dairy Ingredients will have the primary responsibility to direct and execute the purchase of assigned categories, evaluate market conditions, and develop and execute the relevant Sourcing strategies.

Collaborates with other business areas (such as Operations, R&D, Quality, Sales, etc.) to identify their needs and all potential opportunities.

Manages supplier relationships and agreements.

Conducts continuous improvement initiatives with an emphasis on reducing both the total cost of ownership and the environmental impact of the contracted goods.

Role & Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the Sourcing Category Strategy for the areas of cheese and dairy ingredients within the scope of the job.
Manage supplier relationships and supplier by maintaining supplier scorecards, site visits (when applicable), daytoday interactions and regular review meetings.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and identify potential savings opportunities.
Develop and stay current on market intelligence for assigned categories of spend
Accountable to meet Sourcing goals for assigned categories, such as cost savings, quality, payment terms, compliance to requirements and risk plans. Employ the appropriate use of risk management tools
Define sustainability focus and success criteria for assigned categories of spend, working both with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify actions leading to improve the company's environmental and social impacts.

Key Ingredients:

Bachelor's Degree in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary or related field +10 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, oprations or related field in FMCG companies. Preferably experience as a buyer in Dairy Industries.
English and Spanish are required. Other languages will be considered as a plus, such as German, French, Portugues or Czech.
