OBJECTIVE:


As part of the engineering team, the CAD technician or draughtsman participates in supporting the development and specification of new engineering products or in the improvement of existing products by editing or creating new documentation, designs, and technical drawings of parts or processes to correctly define their manufacturing, functionality, and requirements, taking into account subsequent validation and assembly tests.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Starting from conceptual or detailed engineering design to developing 3D models and 2D drawings, specifications, and solutions for mechanical hardware and production tools based on established engineering guidelines.
  • Search for suitable suppliers, request quotes, and track orders to suppliers for product manufacturing.
  • Support in the industrialization of the product through: Development of assembly and testing processes, as well as the necessary devices and any other documentation required for engineering and production; list of materials, assembly procedures, tools, consumables, etc.
  • Creates and maintains documentation related to the product and its processes: assembly instructions, product manuals, and manufacturing instructions.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


  • CFGS in mechanical design and manufacturing or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing similar functions.
  • Advanced level in CAD tools (PTC Creo parametric is a plus).
  • Knowledge about PLM product life cycle systems (PTC Windchill).
  • Knowledge about tolerances and GD&T.
  • Analytical attitude and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge about manufacturing by machining, sheet metal, and plastic casting.

OTHER SKILLS:


  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Intermediate English level.
