An opportunity for ESAM MAP Structure & Cargo has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Sevilla.

The job holder will be part of MAP Structure & Cargo - TEPAP-TL1, within the ESAM (Engineering Support Aircraft Manager) team.

MAP Structure & Cargo is composed of a multidisciplinary, cross-functional and international team of highly skilled and motivated engineers.

Its mission is developed at the intersection of the Program, Industrial and Engineering domains, acting as a principal actor during the FAL Build Process, Ground Testing, Flight Testing and Delivery Process.

In this position you will have a unique opportunity to be as close as possible to the physical Aircraft and deeply involved trough the complete Aircraft ́s design, build, test process, Aircraft operations and Delivery to the Customers.

This role requires the ability to adapt to MAP environment and to develop strong links with all Engineering, DTO, FAL, Flight Tests, Flight Line, Flight Crews, Quality, Delivery and Production teams.

Within the ESAM Team, the job holder will:

Act as the MAP interface with several FAL Organization including MAP Management community, filtering the points under MAP Structures & Cargo responsibilities and informing the relevant function leader within MAP team (Electrical System installation, Mechanical system installation, Structure and Cargo Hold).
Followup of A/C progress via industrial meetings and section level production drumbeats.
Ensure that all topics under MAP responsibility have a target date agreed by MAP function leaders and feedback to manufacturing, defining priorities in line with manufacturing and engineering milestones.
Build a close relationship with aircraft managers and understand the FAL build process in order to anticipate potential problems.
Advise manufacturing and design organisations of anticipated problems and secure MAP support to provide proactive solution proposals.
Ensure progress on points pending on manufacturing validation/feedback.
Coordination / Drumbeating of MAP internal actions with function leaders to ensure that priorities are clearly communicated and requirement dates are achieved.
Represent MAP Structures & Cargo in front of FAL and industrial partners.

Requested skills:

At least, 3 to 5 years experience in Airframe Design.
Good knowledge of Airbus Design Office Processes and Milestones, A/C configuration management, full change process and nonconformities processes (concessions / DQNs).
Knowledge of CS25 Requirements.
Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, FAL build process and milestones. Specific knowledge of A400M processes would be a plus.
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
Good autonomous decision making based on technical experience is essential for this role.
Strong team working skills and a proven ability to work in a multicultural environment are required in order to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
Fluent English & Spanish.
Previous work experience in MAP and technical delegation is highly appreciated.
