What You Will Do

  • Codevelopment and design of Electrical Engineering concept and systems for commercial and inhouse projects.
  • Ensure collaboration between the HW engineering team and other teams for a certain program.
  • Support that developed systems align with appropriate regulations and standards
  • Propose improvements in Hardware Engineering systems within BOLD
  • Contribute to the testing and validation planning and participate in the test execution of Electrical Engineering systems.
  • Develop and review associated documentation, layouts, schematics, calculations, simulations and test report for Electrical Engineering solutions

Skills you will need

  • Bachelors/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • 3+ years in similar position
  • Highly skilled in hardware design, development, and testing
  • Understanding in EV vehicle architecture, High Voltage, and vehicle requirements from Electrical Engineering perspective
  • Master in SCH and PCB layout design, using Altium
  • Excellent understanding of both Analog and Digital circuits
  • Master in hardware debugging and troubleshooting tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analysers)
  • Understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and signal integrity (SI)

Skills that would be great to have

  • Experience in embedded hardware development (knowledge of SPICE is appreciated
  • Simulate PCBs with Altium (Signal Integrity, PDN in DC) and Ansys/Altair (Thermal Analysis, EMCs, AC Impedance
  • Experience with designing communications buses such as CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, ISO-SPI and wireless technologies (Bluetooth, NFC,)
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards including ISO 26262, IEC 61508, DO25
  • Experience with battery systems or working with electric vehicle developments and electromechanical components
  • Experience with soldering stations to rework PCB or to mount prototypes for testing purposes is highly appreciated
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, and FPGA design
