Lead Technical Business Analyst - Analytics and AI Solutions


As part of our ground-breaking journey in Data Analytics & AI (DA&AI) within Operations IT, we are taking significant steps to advance our Operation Data Hub (ODH) and adopt the Data Mesh architecture and ways of working.

ODH provides Operations units with access to critical data and analytic tools, accelerating their work on life-saving medicines. Data Mesh enables Operations units to build reusable data product foundations, unlocking further advanced analytics and insights.


Role Overview:


As the Lead Technical Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the Data Domain Lead in leading engagements and delivering cutting-edge Analytics and AI solutions within the Operations IT - DA&AI team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Act as the primary point of contact and partner for IT Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and business stakeholders in the Analytics domain and ODH platform.
  • Support longterm demand planning, working with the Data Domain Lead, IT BRMs, and Analytics and AI Technical Lead.
  • Manage small to mediumsized projects when needed.
  • Assist the Data Domain Lead in resource and cost effort estimates and mobilize delivery teams.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Business Domain Data, the Operations Data Hub (ODH 2.0) strategy, Data Mesh, and its associated components to recommend highlevel build and delivery options.
  • Acquire indepth knowledge of how the business area operates, including processes, key users, and the value the solution brings.
  • Support the Analytics Technical Lead and Solution Architects in understanding highlevel Analytics and AI requirements within the business domain.
  • Identify business process improvements for products or services, providing recommendations with clear benefits and contributing to delivery plans.
  • Facilitate effective workshops with your team and stakeholders.
  • Lead Business Analysis for one or multiple workstreams related to Analytics delivery if required.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner(s) and/or Delivery Manager(s) to establish and maintain a prioritized product, program, or project backlog.
  • Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the Technical Business Analysts within the DA&AI team.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess most of the following skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to build strategic relationships and manage stakeholder portfolios in the domain and DA&AI platform.
  • Capability to maintain a highlevel view of the project while being handson and detailoriented when necessary.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to operate independently.
  • Proficiency in understanding and following processes methodically.
  • Proactive selfstarter with a strong focus on delivery.
  • Experience working on complex and largescale IT Data and Analytics projects, with a good understanding of project and program management methodologies.
  • Project management experience with small and mediumsized projects.
  • Ability to handle stakeholder challenges and effectively communicate insights.
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile and Design Thinking approaches.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including communication, listening, analytical mindset, creativity, problemsolving, and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of Data Mesh and Data Product concepts.
  • Experience in setting longterm strategic directions.
  • Familiarity with modern data and analytics platforms.
  • Outcomefocused mindset, taking personal responsibility for delivering results while embracing change and utilizing a growth mindset to focus on client outcomes.
