Department Description

CTO is part of Information Technology Services that provides infrastructure, security, technical services, service management and support services for the Atradius group and its customers.

Solutions architects are responsible for the technical design and implementation leadership for all transformation projects involving CTO responsibilities including infrastructure, network, security, technical services, and cloud domains.

As infrastructure solution architect you will report directly to the Head for Group Platform.

Key stakeholders are other network, technical services, security and cloud technical domain solution architects for delivering of end-to-end technical solutions, but also program managers or asset owners, engineers and third parties for its implementation.

Alignment with enterprise architecture as also required.

Job Description:

Infrastructure is a broad topic.

Atradius is looking for an Infrastructure solution architect with background in solutions and infrastructure architecture, with experience of making architectural recommendations and defining and documenting designs for large enterprise scale deployments.

A strong technical background with broad knowledge across a diverse technical landscape and a deep technical expertise in one or more technology areas is desire.

You will be working with several teams:

The Network, Middleware, Security, Infrastructure teams and their corresponding engineers, leads and project managers
The Cloud Competence Centre (CCC) mandated for implementing Atradius Cloud Strategy
The Enterprise Architecture team, especially Architects from CIO unit (within Atradius ITS)

Based on background/knowledge, we expect our Infrastructure Architect plays a key role on the main functions below:

Evaluate system requirements:
Analyze existing systems to ensure that these systems provide the necessary security/performance to meet with the Atradius needs/expectations.
Propose alternative solutions/improvements:
Propose alternative technologies to improve/enhance the systems that support Atradius goals. Those requirements should be documented and communicated to management level within ITS.
Review of new systems:
Design and review process of new systems. Develop and document proposed changes that need to be implemented or integrated across the working platforms of CTO unit
Integrate new infrastructure:
Define detailed plans to add new systems to the existing core infrastructure within Atradius, providing technical direction and support throughout this process
Assess projects:
Evaluate new systems integrated into Atradius. Keep track of the success of the project, identifying best practices for future implementation. Provide feedback to the management level and incorporate all gathered information into future integration plans

We would ideally look at Architects from an infrastructure based background.

You will be working on a large and broad range of transformational projects including servers, storage, data centres, Network, Security, Hybrid Cloud, Data Centre migrations, Workplace integration (leveraging Microsoft 365) and Automation.

In this position your key responsibilities will be:

TThe Infrastructure Architect will have the ability to judge and assess the viability and feasibility of Atradius and 3rd party infrastructure solutions and to advise and influence project sponsors and teams on the technical direction and to actively support the implementation process of such solutions.

These include but are not limited to:

Create High Level Designs for new Atradius infrastructure services
Support the Engineering teams to develop, test and operate new Atradius infrastructure services
Address any issues related to security and performance

Work closely with the network and security teams as with the architects to improve overall Atradius Security solutions and maturity

Be involved with the creation and maintenance of high-level capability and technology roadmaps for use in strategic and project planning, including cost estimates.

Ownership of the technical solution, design, documentation, and roadmap for those services
Day to day technical management of key vendor relationships
Continual optimization of existing infrastructure services, and elimination of technical debt
Identify potential technology innovation to introduce new services, or transformation of existing ones, to meet with Business/CTO strategic objectives

Own, lead and prioritize a part of the infrastructure architecture backlog and strategy
