Wood is currently recruiting for an Intern for
Piping Engineering department in our Madrid office.


Wood is looking for students interested in accessing the professional world through external academic internships and offers the possibility to put into practice and expand the knowledge acquired during their academic career.


Students will get the opportunity to work in the H2, Bio-fuels and O&G projects as we look to develop your background in conceptual engineering studies, pre-FEED, FEED, EPC and PMC projects.


  • Check engineering documents and drawings, identification of required resources and progress reporting under Senior Engineer Supervision
  • Perform piping stress analysis for noncritical lines under Senior Engineer Supervision
  • Pipe support design under Senior Engineer Supervision
  • Ensure that deliverables are produced to time, cost and quality in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic and understand team dynamics and adjust behavior to gain maximum advantage
  • Understand workshare elements and how to divide workscopes
  • Last academic year or master's degree in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or similar degree.
  • Spanish language at native level
  • Excellent command of English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of CADsoftware as MicroStation or AutoCAD.
  • Academic situation that allows signing an agreement with a university or training center
  • Availability in the morning (daily dedication depending on the academic situation)
  • Able to manage own time and ability to prioritise at busy times
  • Creative and practical
  • Adaptable and persevering
  • Interested in pursuing a career within engineering
  • Work well with other people
  • Good communication skills within a team and externally
  • Available immediately
