Principal Product Engineer

A

Principal Product Engineer, in the Digital Engineering Services organization, will help develop the strategy and go to market plan for the OptiLife Service Product Offerings which provide our utility customers with solutions to complex technical problems.


This position can be a Remote working opportunity.


Primary roles within the group revolve around creating the strategic vision for the solution, support of sales and marketing, offer development support, monitoring of product margins, customer and supplier interaction and support of design / fulfillment engineering.

This position provides broad-ranging experience across aspects of engineering, business principles and sales/marketing.


Responsibilities:


  • Engineering
  • Respond to technical inquiries from Customers.
  • Assist in technical aspects of customer offers.
  • Align with Project Managers on product priorities and customer delivery.
  • Work with software and data engineers to brainstorm product solutions.
  • Collaborates with other Product Engineers to identify opportunities for product integration to strengthen the offering.
  • Look for and champion new products or product variants to expand the product line offering.
  • Business
  • Monitor margin on offered products.
  • Assist with forecast for product sales through tracking and reporting of opportunities within Microsoft Dynamics 36
  • Work on business cases to support new product introduction.
  • Assist in market assessments of installed products or potential new products to grow the wallet share within the Nuclear Industry.
  • Assist in development of product pricing.
  • Sales & Marketing
  • Support or lead customer facing meetings to present product business case and receive product feedback.
  • Develop customer presentations.
  • Work with offer development team in issuing customer proposals.
  • Assist in development of sales literature.
  • Provide guidance to sales team on technical aspects / advantages of our product offerings.
Assist in development of capture plans for targeted markets / product.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, or related field.

5+ years of related experience.

  • Experience working in the commercial nuclear industry is preferred.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and industry meetings (~20% travel)
  • A proven track record of effective written and verbal communication skills, including positive interaction with internal and customer executives, is required.
  • Strong leadership, product management, commercial effectiveness, change management and communication skills.
  • Action-Oriented: ability to quickly develop an answer and meet timesensitive responses to continue customer engagement.
  • Experience using data insight tools, (i.e. ThoughtSpot, Power BI)
