    **About the Role**

    We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineering Manager with extensive experience in air-cooled chillers to join our engineering team at Johnson Controls, Inc.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development and sustaining, supporting manufacturing processes, providing customized design solutions, and addressing field issues for installed chiller systems. This role requires a hands-on approach and an ability to collaborate effectively across global organizations to enhance product performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction in the EU region.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain an in-depth understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles, and processes related to all aspects of air-cooled chillers.
    • Proficient in refrigeration system design, components selection, and chiller mechanical assembly design.
    • Serve as a technical expert to support product design compliance to EU codes.
    • Work closely with application engineering teams and customers to understand their specific requirements and develop tailored design solutions for air-cooled chiller systems.
    • Participate in design reviews and develop validation tests.
    • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements based on field feedback and performance data.
    • Collaborate with global engineering centers and local factories to initiate and execute engineering changes.
    • Support new product introduction and components localization efforts.
    • Provide support to field service teams to investigate and troubleshoot issues reported in the field for installed chillers.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve problems effectively.
    • Possess extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes related to air-cooled chiller products and apply the philosophy of designing to standard manufacturing processes.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and ensure the efficiency and quality of air-cooled chillers assembly.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
    • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically with air-cooled chillers or HVAC systems.
