About us:

IQUA Robotics is a SME company that develops innovative solutions for exploring and understanding the underwater environment. We design, manufacture, and commercialise hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and related technologies for advanced underwater exploration, precise mapping, and detailed seabed inspection. Our team of specialists designs, builds, and tests high-quality products tailored to customer needs. We provide expertise, customization, and technical support to help our customers achieve advanced mapping and inspection capabilities in scientific research, industrial/offshore, and security/defense applications.

Role:

We are looking for a Junior or Senior Mechanical Engineer to join and reinforce our engineering department on designing AUVs, actively participating in defining mechanical solutions for new products or customisations, both for end customers and R&D projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design new mechanical parts and systems related to AUVs for improving and augmenting their capabilities.
• Collaborate in the design, development and testing of new systems for R&D projects.
• Develop CNC programs for our automatic machines.
• Preparation of drawings and documentation for manufacturing in external machining companies or in our own workshop.
• Contribute to the creation of product documentation.
• Assist with and execute quality testing procedures.
• Assist in the assembly and bench testing.
• Participate (occasionally) in real-world testing and offshore campaigns. This includes being part of the testing team, supporting customer training, demonstrations, or research projects. Travel may be necessary, depending on the specific customer or project needs.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering university degree (or similar).
• Previous experience in mechanical design will be highly valued.
• English level: B2-C1. Spoken Spanish/Catalan desired.
• Highly practical and proactive approach.
• Availability for occasional travel.
