Straumann Group is a global leader in dental implants and orthodontic solutions, and we are looking for a talented back-end software developer to join our team.

As part of a growing team of specialists, you will be part of a team of engineers developing software tools for dental professionals and patients, including dentists, surgeons, and dental technicians.

As a back-end software developer, you will be working on a microservices based architecture, using your expertise in Java to design and implement high-quality solutions.

You will be part of an agile team that values collaboration and creativity, and you will have the opportunity to work in an international environment for a product-based company.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

As a back-end software developer, you will:

• Design and Develop microservices based architectures
• Develop and manage databases
• Test software to ensure quality, data protection and security
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Write technical documentation
• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Find opportunities for collaboration across international teams, work on cross-team commitments, and achieve scale by enabling the work of others.

Requirements
Education

• Higher education in software engineering, computer science or a comparable field (e.g. medical informatics, healthcare electronics), or equivalent work experience.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience shipping commercial software in a role as back-end software developer using Java with Spring Boot framework
• Proficiency on microservices architectures
• Experience on code management (Git), releases, code quality
• Experience with databases (e.g. Postgres, SQL Server, ...)
• Experience as a teamwork, and communication leader
• Professional fluency in English

Desirable:
o Experience with healthcare software
