Job Description:
As a Data Scientist, you will be developing tools and technologies that leverage data from a variety of sources to increase supply chain efficiencies and provide value to our customers.
- Responsible for supporting project and results
- Projects have increased companywide importance and visibility
- Responsible for supporting the development of internal and external customer projects
- Supporting endtoend implementation of algorithms and required data storage mechanisms as reusable services
- Successful production use of data science results, with a focus on digital products
- Responsible for communicating methods and results to stakeholders
- Responsible for learning new data science techniques/algorithms/programming languages and exploring their viability on current projects
- Will contribute to data science team discussions, providing insight as needed on current approaches and methods
Qualifications:
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training plus work experience
- BS & 3+ years of work experience
- MS & 1+ years of work experience
- PhD
- Proficient with machine learning and statistics
- Proficient with Python, deep learning frameworks, Computer Vision, Spark
- Have produced production level algorithms
- Proficient in researching, developing, synthesizing new algorithms and techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- Participated in numerous data science projects
- Utilized several data science methodologies
- Researched and implemented new techniques
- Have worked autonomously and delivered results on schedule
- Have presented results to nondata scientist audience
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
- Knowledge of implementing Data Science or Machine Learning algorithms
- Experience with common statistical techniques and data science toolkits
- Great communication and influencing skills, with the ability to utilize data to justify business decisions.
- Strong quantative and analytical skills and experience with data visualisation tools.
- Proficiency in using query languages (i.e SQL) and big data analytics
- Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
- Good scripting and programming skills
English is a must for this role.
Spanish, Other fluent languages would be beneficial
