Job Description:
As a Health & Safety Officer, you will be in charge of the design and implementation of an Occupational Risk Prevention Plan at CHEP Spain, aligning with CHEP's ZeroHarm and Safety Policies and Plans, ensuring to warrantee the Spanish legal requirements for compliance and aligning with our Safety objectives.
The scope of this role is to cover 3 offices (Madrid, Barcelona, Fuenlabrada) & 2 Plants (Bellpuig & Almusafess) & Other CHEP Locations.
Some of the main tasks of this role are:
- Legal responsibilities according to Spanish legislation.
- Review and keep updated the Occupational Risk Prevention Plan in CHEP.
- Design the Preventive Action Plan, to be approved by different internal stakeholders. Later this role will be part of the implementation and follow up.
- Carry out the risk assessments in plants & offices & job positions. If it will be necessary, establish preventive measures.
- Design Annual learning plan in H&S: Role as Internal trainer (on boarding's and other specific trainings) & External trainings.
- Medical checks, including the new employees, in relation to the risk derived from their job.
- Responsible to create and review Emergency Plan, other related procedures and rules for emergency and first aid brigades.
- Collaborate with the external prevention service.
- Leading/facilitating Root cause investigation on all Incidents to actively reduce the "Total Incident Frequency Rate".
- Responsible for contractor documentation
- Responsible of employee documentation to visit customer work locations
- Support and collaboration in External and Internal Audits.
- Safety legal assessments in subcontractor location.
- Propose measures for the control and reduction of risks and implementation of best practices
- Promote, in general, the risk prevention of the company
- Responsible for follow up, evaluate, suggest, modify every H&S procedure for Spain (offices & Plants).
- CAPA Owner in Near Miss process & Leading/facilitating Rootcause investigation on all potentially life changing Near Misses and to assist with communication to the network.
What we look for:
- Engineering Degree
- Risk prevention master's degree: Safety & Ergonomic (Minimum)
- 35 years working in the health & safety field in a multinational company
- Experience in plants & offices
- Solid experience as a trainer
- 5 years using excel files, handling huge amounts of data
- Detailed knowledge of health, safety and environmental Systems
- Excel advanced user
- Handson attitude
Spanish and English fluency

Masters
Preferred Level of Work Experience
