The Lead Network Operations Center Lead is a member of the Skydance Animation Technology team and will be responsible to create and provide 24-hour oversight into the health and performance of Animation technology, as well as ensuring that uptime-effecting events are handled appropriately and with urgency.


Responsabilities:


  • Coordinate with Network Operation Center Supervisor to create services, platforms, and dashboards to Monitor the performance and capability of technology systems using diversified tools and techniques.
  • Provide Incident Management and response by creating and updating tickets using the ticketing system including all the pertinent information in a timely manner to document actions that have been taken to address and resolve a problem/issue. This will include resolutions of items that the NOC is responsible for as well as escalating incidents to appropriate teams when applicable.
  • Administration of Change Control by managing and tracking all production changes following guidelines as well as outlining steps taken and impact.
  • Administration and Problem Management by tracking and document all defects and resolutions in detail and ensuring team(s) who owns the problem/issue to make permanent changes so that specific issue does not occur again.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and works with team members to implement efficiency.
  • Partner with the Information Security team to ensure infrastructure security
  • Provide regular training and technical guidance for NOC team
  • Acts as a mentor to junior team members. Will act in a lead capacity, providing direction and oversight to a team of administrators.

Requirements:


  • 6+ years working as Noc Engineer (or similar) with a strong understanding of and practical experience with automation, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Ability to work independently and generate new initiatives to achieve longrange goals.
  • Understanding of VFX / Animation Pipelines / render farm managers / render wrangling a plus
  • Real world experience supporting Linux, Windows servers, Active Directory, and Mac systems.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Server and Network Management Systems, advanced browserbased tools to poll web portals, alerting tools, security appliances, synthetic transactions, and standard SNMP monitoring.
  • Experience working with Service Desk ticketing systems, with a heavy emphasis on maintaining tickets
  • Experience working with consolidated logging, alarming, and event correlation at an enterprise level
  • Previous success adhering to Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) best practices and meeting established Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Experience with both creating and using runbooks for troubleshooting procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans
  • Has knowledge and experience to maintain technical processes/documentation and automations/scripts
  • Experience in ManageEngine, and Carbon Black EDR a plus
  • Experience with automation software, including Ansible, Puppet, Chef, CloudFormation a plus
  • Possession of strong scripting skills, including PowerShell scripts and Python a plus
