The Finance Innovation and Operations Hub (FIOH) in Madrid is a global team within Sandoz, which simplifies, standardizes and automates planning, reporting and analytics processes by leveraging innovation and talent.

The team will reshape the function and will be a differentiator by driving artificial intelligence, predictive analysis and best-in-class analytics.

As a Manager Planning Systems you will be in charge of
SANDOZ Global financial planning system (ASPIRE), ensuring system availability & stability as well as data quality & integrity.

You will have to keep system up to date with management planning and reporting requirements. In addition you will coordinate ASPIRE team and be the first point of contact for business partners. You should drive innovation, standardization and simplification of ASPIRE system.
Manager Planning Systems needs to exhibit high levels of people agility and excellent communication skills.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage enhancements, test new functionalities, identify key issues and suggest improvements for planning and reporting tools.
  • Ensure integrity of data in Sandoz Planning systems and provide recommendations on forecast accuracy improvement
  • Work closely with the regions and global team and help them in the smooth execution of the planning cycle
  • Contributing to improve and streamline existing management reporting processes and support the definition and implementation of lean processes to meet the changing demands of the business
  • Coordinate and support changes and enhancement to the systems environment to ensure operational stability.
  • Identifying, owning & driving valuecentric projects, together with business partners.
  • Manage escalations and support in faster resolution.
  • Resource management, Grooming and onboarding of new joiners in the ASPIRE team
  • Ensure knowledge sharing among team members and monitor on boarding of new associates in team
  • Guide team in identifying key topics for classroomtraining sessions, help them preparing, delivering effective presentations, creating user guides, and process documents.
  • Should have good understanding of data flow (inbounds, internal and external BPC interfaces) and SAP concepts

Minimum requirements

What you will bring to the role:

  • University degree
  • Minimum education: Chartered Accountant or MBA
  • Finance
  • Desirable education: Any additional certification in Finance or Analytics
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis with exposure to implementation of planning systems
  • Profound knowledge in SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and financial system skills; including Excel addins Analysis for Office (AfO), SAP Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and SAP
  • Understanding of SAP BI and the underlying subsystems
  • Awareness & understanding of Finance IT systems, architecture & data flows would be desirable
  • Knowledge in multidimensional data cube models and designs
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with an eye for detail ability to use financial controlling / reporting tools
  • Analytical thinking and financial modeling
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), selfdirected and keen on learning
  • Knowledge on any analytical/dashboard tool and VBA (macros) would be an added advantage
  • Strong highlevel stakeholder management expertise
  • A high level of motivation, strong work ethic, team player mentality and selfstarting attitude
  • Dynamic and passionate
  • Languages: Fluent English written & spoken
